The IET local networks of Czech Republic and Germany are cooperating in a unique event featuring two internationally active speakers. What makes this event even more special is that the speakers are female and experts in their respective fields.

• Guest Lecture 1: The Tunnel Euralpin Lyon-Turin by Lucy Rew, a former ICE France Chair will talk about the fascinating project of constructing the Euralpin Lyon Tunnel. When it is completed it will be the longest in the world.
• Guest Lecture 2: The Viaduc du Garabit by Patricia Verges-Roches who will give a presentation about the Viaduc du Garabit, a cast-iron railway viaduct in the French Massif Central designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1884 which paved the way for him being commissioned to build the more famous Eifel Tower. Here is a chance to meet and mix with Engineers and Technical Specialists including at an evening dinner and on the next day with a guided tour of Prague.
